Cassie R. Blausey
Founder & Principal Attorney
Cassiopia “Cassie” Restrepo Blausey is a trusted legal advisor, strategist, and systems builder with a career grounded in bold leadership. With more than 15 years of experience spanning education law, policy development, and nonprofit innovation, Cassie founded CR Blausey Legal, PLLC to provide accessible, values-driven legal counsel to those working at the intersection of mission and impact.

Cassie’s professional journey is defined by her unwavering belief in justice, thoughtful reform, and practical change-making. She has served as a policy advisor for the Kentucky Department of Education, executive administrator for one of the nation's largest public school districts, and Vice President of Policy and Advocacy for a national leadership development organization. In each of these roles, she has drafted critical law and policy, led systems reform efforts, and built policy that center the needs of communities too often left behind.

A licensed attorney and experienced executive, Cassie brings a unique lens that blends legal precision with a deep understanding of how organizations work. She partners with nonprofits, small businesses, and purpose-driven leaders to demystify the law, strengthen governance, and navigate complex compliance and regulatory landscapes. Whether developing contracts, structuring organizations, or serving as outside counsel, she approaches every client relationship with empathy, integrity, and a strategic eye for long-term sustainability.

Cassie holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Education, Master’s in Education from the University of Nevada–Las Vegas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Centre College.
She is a Kentucky Colonel, a 40 Under Forty honoree, and an alumna of several prestigious leadership programs including Leadership Louisville’s Bingham Fellows and the Alice Houston Women’s Leadership Program.

Rooted in Louisville and connected to her Colombian-American heritage, Cassie is passionate about community building, civic leadership, and helping people turn their ideas into action. When she’s not practicing law, you can find her exploring local hiking trails, volunteering with the Girl Scouts, or chasing joy with her daughter and husband.
